Tokyo Medical and Dental University merged with the Tokyo Institute of Technology to form the Institute of Science Tokyo on 1st October 2024. It was established in 1928 and was the oldest dentistry school in Japan. It offers baccalaureate and graduate degrees in medicine, dentistry, and related fields. Apart from five faculties and colleges and several research centres, the university also has a hospital of medicine and dentistry attached to it.
It has over 200 international students, mainly from Asian countries. The university has exchange and affiliation agreements with universities from over 25 countries.
