Technical University of Bergakademie Freiberg

The students can get to the university by train, bus, or car. The train station is connected with long-distance traffic from Chemnitz and Dresden. There are connections to the campus including the Regio bus lines B 747 and 750. Freiberg can be reached by car through the A4, exit Siebenlehn along with the federal roads B101 and B173.

• The International Office focuses on the international activities of the University. It is responsible for international relations and support services for international students.
• The campus provides library services to the students. These services search for information for teaching and research at the University. The students can get access to the media both printed and in electronic form.
• As a department of the Computer Center of the university, the students can see themselves as playing a central role, in terms of the provision of media services for teaching and education.

• There are medical services available for the students. The students who study in Germany must have health insurance. When they are officially enrolled at the Technical University of Bergakademie Freiberg, they will be asked to show proof of health insurance coverage.

• Various events take place in addition to the lectures which may be of interest to the students apart from a personal point of view. There are associations and clubs which the students can join to commit and they can also participate in sports activities. 

• The Unisport Center (USZ) is a central facility of the university which organizes qualified sports and exercise programs for the students and staff of the university. The sports include Acro Yoga, Aikido, General fitness training, Badminton, Basketball, Body Total, and Cardio-Fitness.

• The students can find forward-looking scientists,sports-loving, and enthusiastic hobbyists. The student associations of the university includes the Ring of German Mining Engineers (RDB), eV (District Association),Verein Freiberger Geotechniker eV (VFG),City Marketing Freiberg,InnoRegio Freiberg eV and AG Kind at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.

On-campus accommodation is available at the university.

The student halls of residence are managed by the Studentenwerk Freiberg and the laboratories and lecture halls can be found right next to one another.
