Montana Tech offers three on-campus residence halls: Centennial Hall, the Living Learning Center, and Prospector Hall.

• Centennial Hall is the largest residence hall with space for 246 students. It is comprised mainly of traditional, double-occupancy rooms, but the third floor is entirely suite-style rooms.
  
• The Living Learning Center (LLC) is Montana Tech's newest residence hall. It is designed to provide students with a more independent living lifestyle while still providing open area spaces for social interactions. The LLC has 100 beds in apartment-style suites.
  
• Prospector Hall was the Montana School of Mines' first, dedicated residence hall. It houses just under 200 students and is the home of the Office of Housing and Residence Life. Prospector Hall has a mix of traditional double occupancy rooms and suite-style rooms.
