The Centre International de Glion was created by 2 Swiss tourism promoters at the renovated Grand Hotel Bellevue for a group of 15 students from five countries in 1962. Today after 57 years of existence, the Glion Institute of Higher Education has retained its traditional Swiss hospitality while adapting its learning and teaching methods to to an ever changing industry. It has campuses in Glion and Bulle in Switzerland and in London, UK, three thriving hot spots for hospitality, business and beyond. Glion is ranked among the Top 5 worldwide Hospitality Institutions by the QS World university rankings by subject, 2018 , within Top 3 in Swiss Hospitality Management Institutions and as the number 1 in Employer reputation. In 2015 it was recognized as the Best Hospitality management school in the World at the worldwide Hospitality Awards. The programs and specializations at Glion ensure that the students gain required skills and knowledge to succeed in areas such as luxury brand management, hotel development, travel and tourism, events and finance. Bachelor in International Hospitality Business (BBA), MScs in Finance, Real estate & Hotel Management, Hospitality Entrepreneurship & innovation, Luxury Management & Guest Experience, International Hospitality Business and dual MBA and Msc in International Hospitality Business are offered at Glion. The 1 year, dual degree program is conducted by Glion in collaboration with Grenoble Ecole de management (GEM).
