ETH Zurich is a public university located in the Swiss city of Zürich. The school, founded in 1854 by the Swiss Federal Government with the mission of educating engineers and scientists and focuses primarily on science, technology, engineering, and other related subjects. ETH Zurich has exchange agreements with over 100 partner universities around the world, providing students with the opportunity to broaden their academic and social-economic horizons over one or two semesters. ETH Zurich collaborates closely with Disney Research, IBM Research, Oracle Labs, and Google's Project Tango.


Students can choose from a variety of ETH Zurich courses in a variety of fields. The degree programs at ETH Zurich are organized following international standards, with bachelor's programs lasting three years (180 ECTS credits) and master's programs lasting 18 months or two years (90-120 ECTS credits). Transportation in the city

There are various ways to get to ETH Zurich, including taking the bus, train, walking, or renting a motorcycle. The city has an efficient and well-developed public transportation system. Switzerland's public transportation system has excellent coverage and is well integrated between trains and geographic buses. The trains are federally affiliated with the external page Swiss Federal Railways. The Swiss Post manages the bus system outside cities (in French: Cars postaux, in German: Post auto). These systems are seamlessly linked, allowing you to travel between cities easily. Purchasing a recurring (monthly, annual, etc.) ticket is the most efficient way to travel regularly.
