Through the years, the university has achieved awards for its increasing biomedical research and has received funding for research with a primary focus across three disciplines- Biology, Psychology, and Chemistry. To provide optimal support to its students and faculty, Furman University, Greenville set up The Office of Undergraduate Research. Although the office offers many services with funding and visibility of the university’s research, its key mission is overseeing the  Summer Research Fellows Program.
