  • The Trone Student Center is the hub for students to meet, eat and socialize. The center has an ample meeting space, a 110-inch video screen, comfortable seating, and a pub-style restaurant, among a few. The student center also includes Barnes & Noble bookstore, a food court, a cafe, and a print and post express. 
  • The university has more than 165 student clubs and organizations ranging from fine arts, athletics, club sports, diversity and inclusion, politics, media, religion, fraternities and sororities, community services, and other special interests. 
  • Furman University, Greenville has over 21 club sports teams and a wide variety of intramural teams. Some of the sports include basketball, cycling, lacrosse, rugby, tennis, swimming, and volleyball, among a few. 
  • For students aiming to develop their leadership skills, The Shucker Center for Leadership Development is a two-year program that guides students through a series of activities, collaboration, self-exploration, and experiential learning.
  • Students are offered the opportunity to participate in volunteer service with more than 70 local agencies through the Heller Service Corps. 
  • The Furman University Student Activities Board plans and produces numerous social, cultural, and recreational programs each year, including concerts, comedians, movies, lectures, dances, special events, and more. 
  • The university’s Herman Lay Physical Activities Center (PAC) has exceptional facilities for sporting activities which include handball, racquetball, and paddleball courts, a swimming pool, a gym for basketball or volleyball, and a dance studio; and a fitness center.   • For mostly upperclassmen residents, the North Village is a set of 11 apartment buildings with two-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments. Every apartment is fully furnished and includes a patio or balcony.
