Student life at University of Valencia

Following multiple nominations in prior years, the Valencian Government honoured the Performing Arts Club with the Micalet Prize for the finest non-professional contribution.

  • The UV's Performing Arts Club delivers a program for the university audience and the general public during the academic year.
  • Additionally, the Performing Arts Club coordinates the training activities related to ASSAIG, the University of Valencia's theatre group, and the General Foundation of the Universitat de València.
  • The "Club de Arguments en Artes Escénicas" [Debate Club in Performing Arts] is to familiarise University of Valencia students and the general public with the social and political debates in Valencian settings.
  • Together, the Music Club and the Area for Musical Activities of the University of Valencia's General Foundation have been actively organizing performances and taking part in training exercises.
  • The Aula de Patrimoni Cultural's purpose is to schedule events through lectures, book presentations, round tables, conferences, and other activities centred on the knowledge and transmission of cultural heritage from its dual local and worldwide dimensions. 
  • It intends to serve as a gathering place for the various stakeholders in cultural heritage to exchange experiences and viewpoints (teaching staff, researchers, technicians, students, administrations, civil society, social groups, platforms for the defence of cultural heritage, and citizens).
  • All the students are given access to a well-equipped gym and trainers to guide them throughout the fitness journey.

On campus accomodation at University of Valencia

Halls of Residence are academic institutions that offer housing, preferably for students who are also members of the university community. They support their inhabitants' development on the human, cultural, and intellectual levels. The two student halls are the "Lluís Vives" Hall of Residence and the "Rector Peset" Hall of Residence. 

  • The "Rector Peset" Residence Hall occupies a restored magnificent house modified in 1997 and situated in Valencia's historic city centre. It offers to house, ideally to students at the University of Valencia and has room for 179 students as well as 70 faculty members and researchers. Additionally, it offers its residents training in human, cultural, and scientific fields and regularly conducts performances, exhibitions, and other academic and cultural events.
  • University of Valencia has a residence hall with a capacity of 440 students from the 2009–2010 academic year. The "Damià Bonet" Hall of Residence, situated on Tarongers Campus, provides UV students, faculty, and researchers with single or double studio apartments that are completely furnished and equipped with a toilet, kitchen, and HVAC system, telephone, and internet connection.
