The University of Turku, is a multidisciplinary public institution located in Turku, southwestern Finland. It operates across eight faculties and also maintains additional campuses in Rauma and Pori, along with research stations in Kevo and Själö.
Founded in 1920, the University of Turku is Finland's third-largest university by student enrollment, following the University of Helsinki and Tampere University. It is a member of the Coimbra Group and the European Campus of City-Universities. Notably, Turku’s academic history dates back to 1640, when the Royal Academy of Turku was established, but it was relocated to Helsinki after the Great Fire of Turku in 1827.

1: Can someone receive a scholarship after receiving the study place later?
A: All applicants who have applied for the scholarship will receive information about the decisions in their admission offer. If the admitted student has been put on the waiting list for a scholarship, that information is also stated in the scholarship offer. No new scholarship decisions will be made after the admission offer have been sent in April. It is possible to apply for a scholarship for outstanding performance for the second (or in Bachelor level studies, third) study year. The basic requirement for receiving this scholarship is 55cr with an average score of 3.0 or higher for the first year of studies. All students who have applied for the scholarship and fulfil this requirement will be awarded a scholarship for the next academic year.
