Overview

The computer engineering undergraduate program is distinctive as it is based on the broad areas of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Computer engineering students will learn how computer systems work and how they can be integrated into larger systems that serve a wide range of users and businesses. As a result, the program also ensures that our students will gain experience in communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.

The first two years of study provide the essential background in basic science and mathematics, and also introduces the student to the important concepts in Electrical and Computer Engineering such as circuits, digital systems, electronics, and communication systems.In the third and fourth year, the curriculum allows flexibility in a student’s course selection, subject to program and accreditation requirements described below. A student has greater choice from a broad array of courses in six areas of study that would appeal to their individual strengths and interests

Standardized Test-

  • SAT - Scores of at least 630 on each section of the Redesigned SAT and scores of at least 6 in each section of the Essay
  • ACT - Composite score of least 28 and ACT Writing Score of at least 8
  • TOEFL – iBT - Minimum 100 + 22 on Writing, Discretionary Range: total score 89-99 +22 on Writing
  • PBT - Minimum Requirement: total score of 600 + 5.0 on TWE
  • Discretionary Range: total score 573-597 + 5.0 on TWE
  • IELTS-minimum: 6.5, with no band below 6.0. OR
  • IB -at least 4 (predicted or final) in Higher or Standard Level English A: Literature or English A: Language and Literature. HL English B is not acceptable.
  • CAE - A minimum overall score of 180, with at least 170 in each component.
  • GCSE/IGCSE/GCE/AICE English courses : A minimum final grade of “B” (“6” in reformed qualifications) in GCSE/IGCSE/GCE Ordinary Level English, English Language, or English as a Second Language; OR a minimum final or predicted grade of “C” in GCE A Level/AS Level/AICE English or English Language
