All of the university’s campuses are closely located and the distance between the city center and five campuses is less than a mile. Students can travel by the local buses which typically last for 9 minutes. Students who choose to commute by rail can use the intercity link at the Birmingham New Street Station. Students can either drive or walk to the university which takes 4 minutes and 20 minutes respectively. Additionally, coach services run frequently to Birmingham Central Coach Station from all major towns, cities, and airports.

Located in the heart of the city, University College Birmingham offers accommodation for all students through its residence halls called The Maltings, which is a 15-minute walk from all the campus buildings. 

The Maltings comprises 827 study bedrooms out of which, 809 are en suite rooms with five twins and 18 with shared bathrooms.
