Texas Christian University (TCU), a private research institution in Fort Worth, Texas, was founded in 1873 by Addison and Randolph Clark as the AddRan Male & Female College. It maintains an affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The university's 302-acre (122 ha) campus lies approximately 4 miles (6.5 km) from downtown Fort Worth. TCU comprises nine constituent colleges and schools and is classified as an "R2: Doctoral University – High research activity." The university's mascot, Superfrog, is inspired by the horned frog, which is the state reptile of Texas. Campus

The TCU campus spans 302 acres (1.22 km²) of developed land, with a total of 325 acres, located just four miles (6.5 km) from downtown Fort Worth. The campus is divided into three main areas: the residential area, the academic area, and Worth Hills. University Drive, an oak-lined street that runs through the campus, separates the residential and academic zones. The residential side, west of University Drive, houses the Student Union, Campus Commons, and residence halls, while the academic side, to the east, features the library, chapel, and most academic buildings. Surrounding streets are lined with majestic live oaks.

Approximately half of TCU’s undergraduate students reside on campus, which includes 16 residence halls and several on-campus apartment complexes. The blend of housing options provides students with a vibrant and inclusive living experience.
