1. Shanghai Metro - One of the largest metro systems in the world, with 20+ lines and over 500 stations. Connects CEIBS’ Shanghai campus to key business districts like Lujiazui (financial hub), Pudong, and Xintiandi. Affordable and convenient: A single ride costs between RMB 3-10 (₹35-120), depending on distance. Metro operates from 5:30 AM to midnight, with frequent train intervals.

2. Bus Network - More than 1,400 bus routes, including night buses for late-night travelers. Buses connect residential areas, business hubs, and suburban regions. Fares start at RMB 2 (₹25) per trip. Air-conditioned and electric buses are widely available.

3. Taxis & Ride-Hailing Services- Traditional Taxis: Readily available with fares starting at RMB 14 (₹170) for the first 3 km. Didi Chuxing: China’s version of Uber, widely used for private rides and carpooling. International ride-hailing apps like Uber are less common but available in some areas.

4. High-Speed Rail & Intercity Transport - Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station & Shanghai Railway Station offer bullet trains connecting to cities like Beijing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Shenzhen in just a few hours. High-speed trains travel up to 350 km/h, making weekend trips convenient for students.
