Andrews University, a private institution affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, is located in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Established in 1874 as Battle Creek College, it was the first higher education institution founded by Seventh-day Adventists and is recognized as the flagship university of the Adventist educational system, which ranks as the world’s second-largest Christian school network.

Today, Andrews University comprises eight schools and colleges, offering a comprehensive array of academic programs that include 130 undergraduate majors and 70 graduate majors, alongside numerous graduate degree programs. It is accredited by both the Higher Learning Commission and the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA).

Campus

Andrews University is situated in the Village of Berrien Springs in southwest Michigan, nestled next to the St. Joseph River and only 12 miles (19 km) from Lake Michigan's shores. Approximately 25 miles (40 km) away lies South Bend, Indiana, where the University of Notre Dame is located; as a result, some Andrews faculty members hold joint appointments with Notre Dame.

The university's 1,600-acre (6.5 km²) campus, officially designated as an arboretum, is home to a diverse range of indigenous trees, particularly around the central campus quad. The grounds feature 27 instructional buildings, the Howard Performing Arts Center, an airpark, four single-sex residence halls, and four apartment complexes. The residence halls include Lamson Hall for undergraduate women, Damazo Hall for graduate women, Meier Hall for undergraduate men, and Burman Hall for graduate and seminary men. These halls enforce a curfew based on students' ages and uphold a visitation policy that prohibits opposite-sex visitors in dorm rooms. On-campus students are also required to attend a set number of worship services.

Andrews University Global Ranking

The University is still awaiting its official rankings from prominent organisations such as QS, Times Higher Education, and US News and World Report. Despite its growing reputation and contributions to academia, the university has not yet been featured in the rankings published by these influential bodies. But it has been ranked at #273 among national universities of the U.S. News.

Although the University continues to develop its academic programs and research initiatives, it remains unranked by these major international ranking institutions. The absence of a ranking from QS, Times Higher Education, and US News does not reflect the quality of education or research output but simply indicates that the university has not been formally assessed by these specific agencies.
