IELTS or TOEFL how to choose?

I am planning for MS in Fall 2023 in USA. I'm confused between IELTS and TOEFL. Which should i take and why i should choose it over the other. Thanks in advance!

Hello Vivek,

Both ielts and toefl test you on English in 4 categories- listening, speaking, writing and reading. However there are differences between both of them in terms of how it's conducted, scored and duration. The key difference between the two will be in the speaking section, where you directly interact with a person in IELTS and record your answers when it comes to Toefl. You need to read and understand the pattern of the tests before deciding on one depending on one which is more suited to you. Here are a few links you could use -
