Start your verbal preparation early. If you start soon you can learn more words. Most important thing is to revise the learnt words at regular intervals and use them in sentences to get used to them. Don't just learn words as meanings. There are websites which use words in sentences so you can refer to those and write them down and practice. For RCs, go through the Princeton, Magoosh and Manhattan methods of solving the RCs. Every method has its advantages and disadvantages but by going through all 3 of them, you'll know which suits you the best. Once you get the hang of RCs, you'll start getting a lot of them right. Next is quants. The easiest and hardest part about gre. Since every single mark matters in quants, it becomes way more important than the verbal section. But the thing is every question is easy. And you just need to stay focused to understand the tricky type of questions. This will come through practice and using basic concepts instead of formulas. Do this and you'll surely get a 330+. Many people suggest that you should write mock tests continuously and they help you improve. I frankly don't believe in that. A mock test doesn't help you learn concepts. It just makes you accustomed to the time limit. In no way is attempting 40 questions, helping you improve your concepts. And that's where people struggle because they only write mock tests and in the real gre if a question that's not been asked in previous tests comes up, you tend to lose out. So practice problems, RCs, vocab well before you start giving tests. And taking tests early will always demotivate you when it comes to the verbal section because unless you are familiar with a lot of words, you won't be able to answer most of the sentence equivalence and text completion questions, which leads to lower confidence levels. But once you're prepared with everything and start giving tests, you'll know how well you have prepared and what topics need to be improved more.

After all the initial preparation, give as many mocks as you can. I would not suggest you sit 24x7 mugging those words. I suggest you develop the exam temperament by giving mocks, assessing those mocks, going back to revising the topics which you do not comprehend and attempting another mock after that.
