Fall 2023 - Timeline

Hi People ,
I am applying for Fall 2023 MS in CS.

I HAVEN'T yet taken any exams like the GRE Or TOEFL and don't have the required docs i.e. LOR , SOP , Transcripts . Could y'all guide me a bit about the timeline or share a few links to guide me in the right direction.
A last date  for GRE would be great if someone mentions it. #cs #MSinCS

Hi Jay
I suppose you haven't even started preparing for GRE and let me tell you GRE is highly recommended for CSE and you need min of 2 months to prepare as verbal section ain't easy.
The timeline goes like - 
1. September - be done with both gre and TOEFL
2. October - get your SOP and LOR's done and start applying as soon as possible
The reason to apply in October and November is early priority deadline where admission is sometimes on first come basis if your profile satisfies the min criteria and also scholarships are provided to people applying for fall in priority
3. Get your decision by Jan or Feb
4. Finalize and arrange funding to show for i20 and visa interview ( if you are showing savings, it's recommended to keep it in your ACC for atleast 3months prior your visa interview)
5. Book your visa slots for may end or June - aug
6. Book your flights in May end or first week of June as flights are really cheap and you can get student discount on top
7. Get your visa and vaccination etc
