If u r from an Ivy , you improve chances of getting a job & a better job subject to maintaining good profile ... The per year salary is around 100K to 120K USD. So 80 Lakhs is surely manageable ... yeah, if you can keep the 80L at a lower level & a great school ... of course that will be better...

if its on the same level as cmu/ucb and ur financial situation is decent enough that ur family can handle the debt, sure

if u can get into top 10 schools get ta/ra position or scholarships to offset costs
