Master excellence fellowships Coverage
Amount: CHF 10,000 per semester, with a maximum coverage of 4 semesters.
These fellowships, worth CHF 10,000 per semester, are available to students who have obtained their Bachelor’s degree at EPFL, as well as to those who have begun their university studies at another institution.
Master excellence fellowships Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship application must be submitted at the same time as your master’s application.
Application should be submitted via EPFL’s online Master application. Be sure to check the box indicating that your profile should also be considered for an excellence fellowship.
Anyone applying to a Master’s program at EPFL is eligible. A limited number of fellowships are awarded to the most deserving candidates, based on academic excellence, qualifications, and motivation.
However, candidates who already hold a Master’s degree or are currently enrolled in a Master’s program at EPFL are not eligible.
How to Apply for Master excellence fellowships
In order to be eligible for this fellowship, interested students must check the corresponding box on their Master’s application form and provide the requested application file. Internal candidates wishing to continue in the same field of study submit the application directly to their section.
Documents Required for Master excellence fellowships
All documents should be in English, French, German, or Italian. Please join a legalized translation of all documents in another language.
- Your resumé (curriculum vitae).
- Copy of your University degree(s), if already available.
- Complete transcripts from each university you have attended.
- A statement of purpose. See below for a detailed explanation.
- The contact details of three academic referees, who will each be asked to produce a recommendation letter for you (except for holders of an EPFL Bachelor’s degree, and those who hold a Bachelor’s degree from ETH Zürich or a Swiss university or FHS/HES and are applying for a Master’s program in the same field of study). - Your identity card or passport.
