Question

Hey guys, can you please help me shortlist some universities based on my profile

CGPA 8.78
GRE 325

4.5 years as full stack developer experiance

IELTS yet to take
Also can anyone suggest if i can skip ielts and go for duolingo only

Hello there Khushi,

English Proficiency Tests are just a route to make sure that a student is proficient and would be able to grasp whatever the university teaches, so it would be your preference to choose which Proficiency Test would you want to take. However, I would personally prefer IELTS over Duolingo as IELTS would be more feasible to take an exam and score good with.

I have shortlisted some of the universities for you (considering 7 band overall in IELTS or equivalent)  for MS in Computer Science categorized into three sections ( Ambitious, Target, and Safe Universities)

Ambitious: 
1) Washington University in St. Louis
2) University of Colorado Boulder
3) Arizona State University
4) The University of Virginia

Target: 
1. University of Pittsburgh
2. Vanderbilt University
3 Michigan State University
4.University of California, Santa Barbara

Safe: 
1. University of Missouri, Kansas City
2. University of Illinois at Chicago
3. Illinois Institute of Technology
4. University of North Carolina at Charlotte

       You have a very good profile with good CGPA and GRE score, indeed your Work experience will help a lot during Selection process.

You have quite good Profile and firstly I'd like to suggest that you take IELTS and not Duolingo but if there is some problem with it then you can surely go for duolingo,
