Hi,

This is a general query for a good friend of mine who has completed her three year BSc. (IT) program, and is interested in pursuing graduate studies in the US. She has work-experience of 4-5yrs in IT field.

Are there schools in US that accept students with a 3yr BSc degree?

While trying to figure out this question, it seems there is no clear cut yes/no answer to it.

Is it worth giving a shot for GRE and just "hope" that some school may accept her?

Yes, she can.m also done 3yr  degree, that too u mention der she has work experience. So, no prob

Yes some schools in the US do accept students with a 12+3 education. she needs to have a strong SOP and Recommendation letters. Also and excellent GRE and ToEFL score should do it. I know someone who went to San Diego University with a 12+3 BSc IT and a 5 years of work exp.

It differs school to school. Mail the Universities and ask them. That's the best way to find out.

Mohammed: Yes it was on campus placement in IIT.
