Bank Loan Review part 1

Being a fall 2022 applicant, after spending days searching for many articles and getting 1st hand reviews, I came to the conclusion that education loan depends on many factors and the knowledge I had about finance was severely lacking. Hence, I am writing this article in the hope that it will save substantial time for the loan process for other study abroad aspirants.

If you need the terms of the loan process. I have tried to simplify the explanation in :
https://yocket.com/feed/important-terms-related-to-loan-you-should-know-from-your-lender-734754

1. Public National banks
In India, public national banks like SBI give non-collateral loans up to Rs. 7.5 lacs. Depending on the evaluation of the collateral, the amount of loan you can procure will be different for a collateral loan. All public national banks like Canara Bank, and Bank of Baroda have the same process to procure a collateral loan. Collateral loans in public banks offer a much better deal than other options.

Interest rates can be between 7 to 9 % for a collateral loan. Depending on the bank, female candidates may receive a 0.5 % concession on interest rates. It’s always better to enquire with a direct question regarding this. Most public national banks require a physical hard copy of the form to be submitted. This form can be procured from the nearest bank branch. You will also be given a document checklist with it.

2. Bank of Baroda (public national bank)
The interest rate for collateral loans starts between 7 to 9 %. Female Candidates get a concession in interest of 0.5%. The maximum tenure period allowed for a non-collateral loan is 12 years.
