What is an IELTS Cue Card?

A cue card is part of the IELTS Speaking Part 2, which requires candidates to talk for two minutes on a specific topic. In this section, it is critical to use accurate vocabulary and content that concisely expresses your thoughts on the subject. It was my childhood friend Raj's birthday celebration. We have been friends since kindergarten, and we invited one another to every event held for our achievements or birthdays, since then. This time, It was his eighteenth birthday celebration, and he invited my family and me.

It was an extravagant party held at a magnificent hotel not far from my house, Hyatt Regency. The place was adorned according to a theme - cars. He had always been a die-hard F1 fan, so that was unsurprising to me. At the party, there was excellent cuisine, beverages, and games.

Not only did I attend the party with my family members, but many of our schoolmates who we hadn't met in a long time also came along with their families. That added to the fun, as we all reminisced about our shared times in school.
