An impressive recommendation letter for digital marketing should be around 400-550 words. However, different universities might prescribe other word limits for the desirable LORs. We will unveil them later in the article.
Guidelines for Writing a LOR: A digital marketing recommendation letter should have 4-5 paragraphs with all the claims about your qualities, workshops, internships, participation in academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, etc, included and justified with examples and anecdotes. Let’s check the sequence for the same!
Introduction
An LOR should begin with a brief introduction of the recommender. Mention their professional experience and designation. Follow up with your relationship with the professor/instructor/mentor or your team leader/manager for professional LORs. Then talk about the duration of time the recommender has known you. In an academic LOR, add the subjects that the recommender taught you, and in a professional LOR, add the recommender's department. Finally, end the introductory paragraph with the recommender's general impression of your personality.
Body Paragraphs
The body of the LOR, i.e. the following 2-3 paragraphs, mainly talks about how the recommender remembers you and your notable qualities.
Mention these qualities as most relevant or essential to lesser ones. Share examples or mention anecdotes that displayed each quality. Do remember to mention your achievements and the projects you worked on under the mentorship of the recommender. Follow up with the technical skills and the certifications you gained under them.
You can also write about any special projects you have done and highlight your contributions and roles in them, that you performed under your recommender's guidance. Always remember a LOR which merely praises you will not be effective. Make sure the recommender also points out room for improvements through the body of the LOR, if applicable. If there were instances where you had faced particular challenges, let the recommender mention them and share how you overcame those situations.
Conclusion
The concluding paragraph mentions that the recommender is ready to vouch for your admission to the university to that you are applying. End the LOR stating the recommender is confident in recommending you to the digital marketing university/course.
