The Office of Educational Research houses Asia Pacific's largest education research center. It brings together researchers, educators, and administrators to conduct research and develop new and innovative teaching and learning methods.

NIE established the Learning Sciences Lab in January 2005, which is now part of the Office of Educational Research. The Lab aims to lead and transform ICT in Singapore schools for teaching and learning pedagogy. Findings and good ideas from research are conceptualized and applied in learning processes to implement them in schools effectively.

Internship opportunities (Part time job opportunities)

BUILD (Building University Interns for Leadership Development) is a five-week industrial attachment program that fills this void. Unlike most internships, the BUILD program includes a project component that will add value to the host organization's functions. Projects could include innovative and practical solutions to management issues that capitalize on corporate opportunities. These projects could include but are not limited to an educational component.
