How to Apply at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences

Without the aid of a company or centralized application organization, Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences manages admissions indepently. Only exceptional applicants are admitted into the Master's programs because there is a fixed mark-based entry requirement. 

German is the official language of instruction for all bachelor's degree programs. A certificate proving very good German language proficiency is therefore necessary. For admission to a German university, international applicants must submit their exam results as well as a professionally translated copy of their transcript, either in German or in English. 

  • If students meet all the standards, the institution will grant admission to them.

Transportation in the city

The campus of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences is situated to the west of the Palace Garden and on the outskirts of the Hardtwald forest, in the city and at the same time in the countryside. On a roughly 10-hectare plot, five of the six faculties are situated here. All university buildings in the city are easily accessible by bicycle or foot. 

Services offered by the university


The Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences' library, a division of the KIT Library, is in charge of supplying books to students. It is situated on the campus of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences in building A, upper floor. A library card is included with the Campus Card. This needs to be set up for use.


There is first-aid assistance on campus. But there is no sickbay.  The insurance card must be provided to the doctor when you visit, therefore have it with you at all times in case of emergency.

Student life

Numerous on-campus activities such as public speeches, sporting events, and cultural offerings like exhibitions and concerts boost academic pursuits and campus life. Its public transportation system, which connects the surrounding area with the city even at extremely late hours, is known worldwide. Therefore, extending your search area for a roof over your head is worthwhile beyond the city's boundaries.
