- There are five different kinds of Friedrich Schiller University scholarships: sabbaticals, hold-ups, completion scholarships, re-entry scholarships, and start-ups. Depending on the scholarship, these may be awarded anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. Successful candidates will receive a EUR 2,000(INR 1,60,000) monthly stipend and, if applicable, family allowances to support their projects.

You may participate in exchange programs at the University of Jena for one to two semesters, for example, through ERASMUS+, bilateral exchange programs, or with a DAAD Scholarship. You can take regular classes in your field of study, explore new topics, learn German, and take other courses.
