1.  Ratan Tata Scholarship for Engineering

The philanthropist Tata group offers a scholarship for engineering students to study abroad through Tata Education and Development Trust. It is specifically available to students aiming to pursue an undergraduate engineering degree at Cornell University, New York. This scholarship is provided to only 20 Indian students. This scholarship is awarded to students once a year for the duration of their program.

An Indian student who has completed secondary education in an Indian high school. 

The candidate must be in need of financial assistance.

A successful academic record is required to avail of the scholarship.

2.  Arkwright Engineering Scholarship

The applicant must be 15/16 years old to avail of this engineering scholarship abroad.

The candidate should have a passion for pursuing a career in engineering. 

The candidate must be in the school year in which s(he) will undertake their GCSEs, Scottish National 5s, International Baccalaureate Standards, BTEC level 2s, or similar exams at the time of applying.

The candidate must intend to study A-levels, BTEC level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma, Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers, or the International Baccalaureate higher level for a period of two years in a school or sixth form college.

Applicants must commit to studying either Maths, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering Science in one of the following courses at A level (England, Wales & Northern Ireland) or Advanced Higher (Scotland) unless studying for a BTEC Level 3 in engineering. 

Application Procedure

Arkwright Engineering scholarship is only available to those whose schools are partnered with the Arkwright Engineering Scholarships programme. If the school is not partnered, the student can request their teacher to complete the school partnership form. 

After the submission of the application, an Arkwright aptitude test is conducted in the school. 

If shortlisted, the applicant has to sit for a 20- minute interview to get the scholarship. 


The applicant receives 600 pounds to purchase course materials.

A financial award of 400 pounds from the school.

3.  Malaysia International Scholarship

Malaysian government-funded international scholarships are given to international students who enrol in Malaysian universities. Science and engineering students are given preference. This engineering study abroad scholarship is available for pursuing a Master's or PhD from a Malaysian university.

To pursue a Master’s or PhD in Engineering


For Master's and PhD programmes, candidates should be no older than 40 and 45 years old, respectively.

For the Master’s programme, candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 at Bachelor's Degree level.

A minimum CGPA of 3.5 in Master’s is required for PhD candidates.

English Proficiency Test with a minimum score of IETS - 6.0, TOEFL - 580 or 92 in iBT. Applicants with degrees in English as a medium of instruction may be accepted as well.

The applicant must have submitted a written proposal in the relevant field of study.

The applicants have to submit the scholarship application online and the necessary documents as mentioned in the form.

4.  NUS Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship 

The National University of Singapore provides a Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarship to deserving students from Asian countries other than Singapore. This is one of the best scholarships for BTech in abroad, covering tuition costs, compulsory fees, and living costs, to name a few.

The scholarship for BTech in abroad would be automatically considered for all Indian applicants who submitted for BTech admission to NUS. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through email and will be required to provide all proofs of accomplishments prior to the interview.
