Eligibility Criteria

  • Applications must only be submitted by foreign students not residing in Italy and by Italian citizens living abroad (IRE)* holding an appropriate academic qualification required to enroll to the Italian University/Institute.
  • Age Limits-

For master's courses candidates should not be more than 28 years old.

For Ph.D. courses, candidates should not be above 30 years of age.

For Research projects under academic supervision candidates should not be above 40 years of age.

  • To enroll in a course on the Italian language, one must possess the minimum level of B2 proficiency. This is a benchmark in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
  • An applicant for an English-taught course must provide a certificate of proficiency in the English Language with a minimum CEFR level of B2.
  • Applicants to Italian language and culture courses must have efficient knowledge of the language, which is proven by a certificate of proficiency. The A2 level from the CEFR is the minimum requirement.

Politecnico di Milano Merit-Based Scholarships for International Students
