Following your response to the IELTS cue card about describing your favourite singer, the following follow-up questions may be asked:
Q1. How can singers influence young people?
A1. Nothing seems to stir young people's thoughts as meaningfully as the singers' music, which makes them influential. Music allows everyone to communicate their sentiments and emotions, even more so for youngsters because of their impressionable age. These and other related factors have given singers and other artists the status of "role models" for most young people.
Q2. Do singers play an important role in your country?
A2. Yes, singers are valued equally with actors, politicians, and others in our society. Songs are an important form of cultural expression in our culture. Many rites and ceremonies rely heavily on songs.
Q3. Do you think celebrities have a lot of money?
A3. Yes, I believe celebrities do make a lot of money by entertaining people with their talent and skills, but at the expense of their privacy.
Q4: Do people in your country prefer listening to traditional or foreign music?
A4. People in my nation enjoy both traditional and foreign music. However, most young people choose international music over traditional music, whereas the older generation prefers traditional music over international contemporary music.
Q5. Do you prefer watching live performances?
A5. Yes, I do enjoy going to live performances. Music is my safe space and so seeing live concerts is very soothing. It also allows me to get a picture or an autograph from my favourite artists and witness their interactions with fans. This gives me a clearer picture of their personality.
Q6. What are your thoughts on the national role of singers?
A6. I think that because there are so many chances for young people to be affected, performers at the national level should choose their song themes and lyrics carefully. They must keep it entertaining while avoiding any unfavourable outcomes.
Q7. Do you think singers always have a positive impact on society?
A7. No, I don't believe that singers always have a positive effect on our lives, particularly when some of them choose to live a lifestyle that is "out of line or traditions" and causes controversy among the general public. For instance, certain singers that play hip hop, techno, or "R & B" music occasionally engage in drug use or gangsterism, which has detrimental effects on society.
