University of Surrey: Acceptance Rate, Fees & Courses

There are bus services between Stag Hill, Manor Park, Hazel Farm, and the Guildford town center. The students can walk to the university from Guildford railway station which has connections to London and the South East. Cycling around the campus and into Guildford is easy and is also the transport of choice for many students.  

The campus of the university has plenty of cycle tracks.

• The University has three campuses and the main campus is located in Stag Hill, Guildford in southeast England.

• The Manor Park site which is located close to the campus is home to student accommodation facilities, the 36 million GBP Surrey Sports Park, and the School of Veterinary Medicine, academic facilities.

• The University of Surrey has invested a good amount in the library over the past five years to create a state-of-the-art environment. The Academic Skills Development team, who is dedicated to guiding the academic work of the students, is located in the library.

• As a student at the University, the students find that IT plays a big part in their time at the University irrespective of whether they are using one of the 900 PCs in the Open Access PC rooms or working from home using the off-campus secure web access.

• The Centre for Wellbeing provides support when personal issues impact the ability of the students to study and cope at the University. The university offers advice along with therapeutic and practical support to help the students cope and manage their studies.

• Students can join more than 130 societies and 47 sports clubs that are available on campus for sports, academic or skill development.

• Restaurants, pubs, bookshops, laundrette, post office, SimplyFresh (convenience store), and UniTemps are the services of the main campus.

• Surrey Sports Park is Europe's leading sports venue and the home of Team Surrey. It provides world-class sports facilities along with various events to the students of the university, staff, elite teams, athletes, and the local community

• The Students’ Union of the university voices the student opinion, provides support, and also offers various volunteering and training opportunities. The Students’ Union hosts over 180 clubs and societies and organizes events.

• SageTV is a television station that is run by the students at the university. It is run from the offices on the main Stag Hill campus and it creates content for the Students' Union.

All the first-year students of the university are provided on-campus accommodation and those who accept to live on the campus are allocated a Student Life Mentor.

The University has more than 6,000 student bedrooms across the campuses with over 50% having toilet facilities and en-suite showers.
