Established in 1971, Ostwestfalen-Lippe is a state technical university in Lemgo, North Rhine-Westphalia, with two other campuses in Detmold and Höxter in Germany. The university has been ranked as one of Germany's best research universities in applied sciences for many years.
The Technical University of Ostwestfalen courses includes 32 Bachelor's programs, 20 Master's programs, and 1 Doctoral program. It has more than 6000 students on its campuses. University offers research and education in schools of engineering, economics, and management, life science, design, construction as well as media production. The university has two central institutions - The Institute for Science Dialogue's IWD, FABLAB, an open high-tech workshop provider, and S (Kim) Service Communication Information Media.
The Technical University of Ostwestfalen scholarships are provided to offer financial assistance, especially to students experiencing tough family conditions.With the national alliance "Come on, do MINT" as its member, the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University is stepping up its efforts to strengthen STEM Subjects. The purpose of the national pact for women in MINT professions ("Come on, do STEM") is to get young women interested in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology (MINT) and thereby counterbalance the rising scarcity of trained workers.
