SUNY Polytechnic Institute is a non-private university with its campuses in Marcy and Albany, New York. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has accredited SUNY Polytechnic. Within five colleges, SUNY Polytechnic courses include over 25 bachelor's degrees, 18 graduate degrees, and five doctoral degrees. Approximately 2,200 students at SUNY Poly come from all throughout New York, the United States, and more than twenty other countries.

In addition, the university offers four accelerated programmes. Business, Information Science, Nursing, and Mechanical Engineering are some of the most popular majors at the university. It was the first college in the United States to provide educational programmes in nanotechnology as one of five colleges within the polytechnic institute.

  • Visitors can come by air (at Syracuse or Albany airports), train or bus (at Utica's historic Union Station with AMTRAK and Greyhound service), or by vehicle (the New York State Thruway or state routes 5, 8, 12).

  • College of Arts and Sciences, College of Health Sciences, College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, College of Business Management, and College of Engineering are the five colleges that make up SUNY Polytechnic.

Marcy Campus encompasses more than 400 acres of land. It contains various significant structures as well as three residential complexes that are surrounded by lush nature.
