The Max Planck Society is a world-renowned science and technology research organization, having 37 Nobel Prize winners among its experts. It is widely considered one of the world's foremost primary research institutions.
- At the Max Planck Institutes, the working environment is both accessible and engaging – and international! The Max Planck Society's plea has, predictably, gained international acclaim. A foreign passport is held by more than a third of the approximately 13,000 scientists.
- In honor of their accomplishments, the Nobel Laureates of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft can each recommend one excellent postdoc for a Nobel Laureate Fellowship. The fellows are given a contract with a Max Planck Institute and research funds.
- Contracts for doctorate funding combine scientific freedom with social security. They give doctorate scholars the freedom to devote themselves entirely to their scientific activity. Payment is based on the Civil Service Collective Wage Agreement (TVöD) and is now slightly under 2,700 EUR (218,738 INR).
- Graduates with a Bachelor's degree may get an 800 EUR (64,837 INR) per month award for 18 months.
