Transportation in the city

Manchester city has a total of 4 main train stations: Oxford Road, Deansgate, Piccadilly and Victoria. The nearest station to the University campus is Oxford Road, a few minutes away on foot. Manchester Airport has a convenient train route, which takes about 20 minutes to get into the city center, and a tram is also available.

Services offered by the university

  • The Students' Union is located in the heart of the Manchester campus and houses a food bar, pub, shop, advice center, event space, and other necessities all at student-friendly costs. There are various cafes and food shops on campus that serve healthy and delicious food and beverages. 
  • Students get free Wi-Fi access across the campus. Multi-Faith centers and prayer halls, support centers, fitness suites, gymnasiums, gaming centers, outdoor pitches, and indoor sports halls are among the other amenities available. 
  • Each library has group-study and individual reading areas, as well as computers, scanning, printing, and photocopying. The libraries have an enormous collection of unique and valuable printed volumes as well as digital resources.

MMU features modalities like academic buildings, administrative offices, recreational centers, and student homes,all located within the campus grounds at Manchester city.

  • At both the Manchester and Cheshire campuses, the University offers a variety of housing alternatives for undergraduate and graduate students.
  • In Manchester (Main Campus), students can live in Birley, Cambridge, Cavendish, Daisy Bank, Needham Court, and other residence halls.The institution oversees eleven residence halls where students can stay in en-suite rooms or ordinary rooms with common toilets and kitchens.
  • The Campus Security Service provides guidance and help to make campuses safe and secure places to live, work, and study 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Self-catering rooms with common cooking facilities are the norm. The rent is inclusive of all utilities.
