Transportation in the city

The portsmouth university bus is free if a student shows his student card. It's frequent and convenient with buses running every 15 minutes on weekdays. It takes a one-way circular route and stops at Bransbury Park and Eastney. Students can also use public transport and cars.


Services offered by the university

  • The portsmouth university Quarter consists of 10 food venues: Library Coffee Shop, University Learning Centre Cafe, Portland Coffee Shop, Cafe Coco, and others.
  • There are Student Unions, study areas, and a university library open 24 hours with space for work, study, and group projects.
  • The Langstone Campus of the University has restaurants and sports grounds for the students.
  • The buildings of the University are in the heart of the compact city. The city has four miles of beautiful beaches, excellent nightlife, accommodation, and entertainment.

Student life at University of Portsmouth

The portsmouth university has two main campuses - the University Quarter and the Langstone Campus. The campuses are located near the Portsmouth Guildhall and the Milton area, respectively. The University Quarter is the largest campus located in the city center that provides all the necessities and cultural experiences for students. Langstone is the smaller of the two campuses.

There are three halls of residence - Trust Hall, Langstone Flats, and Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother- located in the Langstone Campus and provide accommodation to 600 students 

  • Student residence halls are located near the campus, including separate flats with 6 to 8 student rooms furnished with desks, beds, and storage facilities.
  • The Surveillance Teams and Campus Security take care of all security and safety measures 24/7 to ensure that the students have a peaceful time on the campus.
  • The University's residence halls have electricity, heater, wifi, gas, running water, and other amenities. The rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
