Frostburg State University requires all first-year students to live on campus. Sophomores are also required to live on campus, but they may be eligible to live in Edgewood Commons Apartments. Students who are granted an exemption from the on-campus housing requirement must live within 50 miles of campus.

To apply for on-campus housing, students must complete the housing application and submit a housing deposit. The housing application is available online. The housing deposit is $200 for first-year students and $100 for upperclassmen.
