Now that you have the above-listed information to conduct the process of PR in Ireland for international students, it’s time to begin the process. We have divided the process into two parts for your understanding:
Part 1: Study & Post Study Work Permit
Before a PR in Ireland for Indian students or other non-EU students is to be applied, the following steps need to be checked:
- Applying to an Irish University
- Sharing evidence that you have sufficient funds for your educational course and cost of living
- Applied and passed an English proficiency test in either IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc
- Applied for a part-time job (20 hours per week during classes) or a full time job(40 hours per week during specified holidays)
- Applied for a residence permit that lets you stay for 12 months ( applicable if the course enrolled for is more than 3 months)
- Applied for a work permit (Irish general work permit or critical skills employment)
Once this process is checked, these are the next steps that need to be followed for PR in Ireland for International students:
Part 2: Submission of PR Application
- Submit via email your PR application to the long term residency division of INIS ( Irish Naturalization & Immigration services)
- Submit all the documents ( in case you fail to receive the PR, the same will be notified to you in a week.
- Once your application is approved, INIS will send you an approval letter. The letter will state that the PR fee ( 500 EUR) needs to be paid within 28 days.
- Fee payment can be made via bank drafts or via postal orders to the Secretary-General of the Department of Justice and Equality
- Once the payment has been received, INIS will send you a letter approving the long term residency in Ireland on a Stamp 4 visa for a 5 years duration.

NOTE:
Once you submit your PR application with the set documents, you need to wait for the approval.
In case your application is rejected the same will be notified to you in a week.
If your application process is approved and it moves forward then the process time will take up to six or eight months.
