Indian Students Enrollments Highest At University of Cincinnati

With a deep focus on experience-based learning and research, America’s University of Cincinnati has seen unprecedented enrollments from international students, particularly Indians in recent years. Despite lack of offline classes in the last two years, the university has been a hit among Indian students. 

The overall international enrollment at University of Cincinnati increased 21% for fall 2021 over fall 2020. The university offers more than 350 graduate programs, including master’s and doctoral with a diverse community of students from 89 countries. Of the university’s 11,000 graduate and professional students, 20% are international students.

Strong Focus On Diversity On Campus

Its diversity on campus can be ascertained from the fact that in 2021-22, the university is home to students from all 50 states and from 113 countries outside the US. 

The top senders of students to the university include India with 1,443 students, China with 554, Vietnam with 172 and South Korea with 178. International enrollments in the last two years depict its popularity, which hasn’t dipped despite COVID-19. The 1,134 international enrollments in 2019 at the undergraduate level has remained more or less consistent in 2021 with 1061 enrollments. At the master’s level too, the consistency in global enrollments can be seen with 1,319 enrollments in 2019 to 1,343 in 2021. With 810 enrollments in 2019 at the doctoral level, there was a slight increase in 2021 with 878 enrollments. 

The last date of forming the application form for fall September 2022 is on March 1, 2022, though it may vary depending on the program.

The applicant should have a minimum of 3.0GPA(on a 4.0scale) for Engineering and Applied Science Courses.

Popular Among International Students

There are about 14 colleges under the University of Cincinnati. They are College of Arts and Sciences, College of Allied Health Sciences, Carl H. Lindner College of Business, UC Clermont College, College-Conservatory of Music, College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning, College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services, College of Engineering & Applied Science, College of Law, College of Medicine, College of Nursing, James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, UC Blue Ash College, and Graduate School. There are 418 programs that you can access at the university.

International students with F-1 visas are granted admission as matriculated graduate status in a degree seeking program. Most foreign students with J-1 visas can be granted admission with matriculated graduate status only, with some exceptions.
