What Is an IELTS Cue Card?

The IELTS cue card is Part 2 of the IELTS speaking test. The duration of the Cue card test is 4 to 5 minutes. You will receive a cue card with a topic written on it. You will be provided with 3 to 4 pointers in the cue card to expand upon the topic. Once you receive the cue card, you have 1 minute to prepare. Then, you have to speak on the topic for about 2 minutes. This will be followed by follow-up questions for another 2 minutes.

John was under pressure as he was having an important presentation with the clients. The presentation was crucial not only for John but for the whole team. His promotion was dependent on this presentation, so I felt that I should help him in any way I could.
