The Stockholm Arlanda International Airport is located between Stockholm and Uppsala, 36 km south of Uppsala.

• Uppsala Biomedical Centre (BMC) has the largest life sciences centers in Europe and provides education and research facilities in chemistry, medicine, biology, and dietetics.

• Evolutionary Biology Centre (EBC) provides education in biology and evolutionary processes and offers facilities for research in environmental toxicology along with developmental biology. It is home to the Museum of Evolution with paleontology, and botany.

• The English Park Campus of the university houses the Humanities Theatre, the Karin Boye Library, and Hugo Valentin Centre and also provides programs in the humanities and social sciences.

• Gamla Torget Campus has Skyteam, Dag Hammarskjold Library, Oxenstierna, and Munken along with the facilities for research and education in law and conflict research including housing and urban peace research.

• The buildings operated by the university include the Information Technology Centre (ITC), Geo Centre, the Rudbeck Laboratory, Uppsala University Hospital, the Angstrom Laboratory, and Gustavianum.

• The Student Services Office will help the students with questions about registration and degrees. Adjacent to the Student Services Office, there are career counselors who will support the students with their questions about their studies and career choices.

• Uppsala University Library was founded in 1620 by Gustavus Adolphus, who donated the first collections. The library was housed in a building that was demolished, close to the cathedral.

• At the Student Health Centre, The students can meet psychologists, therapists, and doctors, all with a focus on student-related health issues. The Student Health Centre focuses on study-related issues such as lack of confidence and difficulties in concentration.

• Campus1477 operates two training facilities at the university campus areas, one at the Blasenhus and Science Park. They offer gyms and 100 group training sessions along with boulder climbing, spinning, and various ball sports. As a PhD-student, students can get a lower student price on membership cards.

• Uppsala University has student unions including the Uppsala Union of Engineering and Science Students, the Uppsala Student Union, and Gotland’s Student Union Rindi. These organizations are also driven by the students.
