Transportation in the city

Although the university offers free transport via shuttles, there are many other modes of transport to and from the university. Bus services and taxis help you commute to and from SDU. However, the best mode of transport, especially if you live within a 20 minutes radius, Is to have your bicycle. You can even borrow a city bike for free with your mobile phone and keep it for 24 hours.


Services offered by the university

  • The campus library at SDU has a good collection of books, journals, thesis papers, research papers, magazines, and more that it lends out to its students. The library also caters to various requests for material from other libraries on other campuses, institutes, and even abroad.
  • The local municipalities service center has a registration process for students to fill out in the civil registration system, from where students can receive a CPR number. A health card is issued immediately via mail, which reaches the student within two weeks. This health card makes it possible for students to access all healthcare services offered to every Danish citizen. The university also has its medical wing that takes care of all the medical, health, and well-being issues any student may face.
  • The student services cell of SDU takes care of several tasks such as help and guidance to international students, servicing both students and the board of directors, admission, counseling, etc., the personnel administration, physical surroundings, purchase, economic, and other such activities are also taken care of by the student services cell.
  • There are several other services in various fields offered by the respective service cell of SDU.

  • The off-campus accommodation is situated close to the city center with easy access to both the bus station and the train station and is close to the university.
