The University of Exeter is a constituent member of Universities UK, the European University Association, and the Association of Commonwealth Universities, as well as an Association of MBAs-Accredited Universities (AMBA). The Institute of Cornish Studies, the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum, the Environment and Sustainability Institute, and the Marchmont Observatory are few among the University's 70 research centers and institutes. The University is now ranked between 10th and 12th in the top University of Exeter Ranking for universities in the United Kingdom.
- Exeter was positioned joint 26th overall in the UK in The Sunday Times 10-year average ranking of British Universities (1998–2007) based on persistent league table performance.
- The full-time MBA programme, which pays an average 100,000 GBP (INR 9,950,203) to graduates, is the highest-paying degree.
- The Center for Leadership Studies, which is currently part of the University of Exeter Business School is Europe's sole speciality hub for scholarship in Leadership Studies.
