Transportation in the city

Exeter's location on the coast provides excellent transportation facilities for the town and its surrounding areas. Train, cab, and bus are all options for getting to and from Exeter. UNI buses operate frequently from Exeter's city centre, bus station, and Exeter Central train station to both Exeter campuses.

Student life

The University of Exeter has four campuses: Streatham and St Luke's in Exeter, as well as Truro and Penryn in Cornwall. The University is based in Exeter, Devon, and serves as the city's primary higher education institution.

  • There are about 200 student groups of University of Exeter campus, including Creative Writing, Theater, Socialist Students Societies, Poker Society, and Conservative Future Society. 
  • The University has an Athletic Union that is responsible for equitable and active organization and administration of all sports activities. The organization oversees more than 50 sports groups with a total membership of about 5,000 students.
  • Students at Exeter University are represented by a Students' Guild, which is involved in local and national advocacy.

On campus accomodation

Exeter University student accommodation is quite welcoming for the new entrants to the institute as it is safe and comfortable. The residential halls are a 10-minute walk from the University of Exeter Campus center.

  • Houses and flats are available including more typical halls of residence.
  • In terms of lodging, students can select between Catered and Self-Catered alternatives.
  • The catered housing is for UG students and includes 16 meals per week.

Exeter has a variety of private student housing options available in the city center and surrounding suburbs, for both individuals and groups. For any of these private accomodations, make sure that you have a formal contract or agreement in place beforehand. To secure the deal, you may also be required to furnish a deposit equivalent to one month’s rent.
