The program in Computer Engineering provides the student with a broad and well-integrated background in the concepts and methodologies that are needed for the analysis, design, development, organization, theory, programming, and application of information processing systems. Although such systems are popularly called “computers,” they involve a far wider range of disciplines than mere computation, and the Computer Engineering curriculum is correspondingly broad. The programs present the essential material in electronic circuits, digital logic, discrete mathematics, computer programming, data structures, and other topics.

You will begin with a rigorous series of courses in mathematics, natural sciences, and basic engineering to prepare yourself for more advanced study. At the upper-division level, you may choose to specialize in computer systems and software or in logic design.

 High School Subject-

  • History/social science = 2 years
  • English (or language of instruction) = 4 years
  • Mathematics = 3 years (4 years recommended)
  • Laboratory science = 2 years (3 years recommended)
  • Language other than English (or other second language) = 2 years (3 years recommended)
  • Visual and performing arts = 1 year
  • College preparatory elective = 1 year

  • SAT - 1360 - 1480
  • Critical Reading - 680 and above
  • Math - 680 and above
  • ACT - 30 and above
  • TOEFL – iBT - Minimum 80; PBT- minimum 550 OR Computer Based- Minimum 213
  • IELTS-minimum score:6.5 OR
  • SAT -Score 560 or higher on the Writing section or a score of 31 or higher on Writing and Language in the SAT with Essay
  • IB- Standard Level English - score of 6 or higher
  • Achieve a score of 3, 4 or 5 on the AP Exam in English Language and Composition or English Literature and Composition.
  • Achieve a score of 5, 6 or 7 on the International Baccalaureate (IB), Higher Level examination in English (Language A).
