All the first and second year students live on-campus and the university offers 35-theme based residing options known as LLC (Living Learning Communities). The idea behind these LLCs is to allow students to live with like-minded students. The university believes that this allows the student to have a better learning experience. Every LLC has its own hall government with representatives in student senate and Residence Hall Association.

Faculty

The Miami University has a student-faculty ratio of 17:1. As the university is one of the eight original Public Ivy institutes, the faculty here is excellent. Some of them are directly from the Ivy League institutes and Nobel laureates who are continuing their research at the university. One thing that is common in all the professors is the fact that they actually want the students to learn and they will also go out of their way to help them. However, the students also need to show enough sincerity and dedication on their part.

Jobs and placements

Being one of the most influential universities in US, the Miami University students are considered by some of the best of companies throughout the world. As per a recent survey, 97.6% of all the students who graduated from this university between August 2012 and May 2014 were already employed or again in school by the fall of 2014.
