Bridgewater State University (BSU) is a public university in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1840 by Horace Mann, the father of American education, and is the oldest permanently-located public higher education institution in Massachusetts.
BSU offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields, including education, business, STEM, and the humanities. The university also has several research centres and institutes, including the Centre for STEM Education and Public Policy and Administration.

Scholarships: As a public university, BSU offers quality education at an affordable price. While international students are not eligible for federal financial aid, all new BSU undergraduate first-year and transfer students receive the Horace Mann Scholarship. This award grants students a $3,000 scholarship towards tuition and fees and an additional $2,000 towards housing if living on-campus. This scholarship is reapplied yearly as long as the student maintains good academic standing with the university.
