Transportation in the city
Getting around the Université Grenoble-Alpes is quite easy. The students use public transport to get around the city and use bikes to get around the campus. There are also 5 tram lines and 47 bus lines, and the town has excellent access to the public transport network.
The Chrono buses and trams operate daily between 5 A.M. . and 1 A.M., and the students have access to various travel cards for one trip, one day, and 10. The monthly student pass costs €15 (Rs. 1250), but the students need to be between 18 to 24 years old. There is also an annual bus pass costing €150 (Rs. 12,500).
Students also have the facility to rent the bike through Mvélo + for a day, month, quarter, or year, at a subsidized rate.
While traveling outside the city, the students can benefit from the Cars région bus network having lots of local stops in the Isère department of France. Additionally, Taxis and Ubers are also available for students.
