Palacky University: Acceptance Rate, Fees & Courses

The students at the campus can travel to the premises by trams, buses, coaches, and trains. Tram numbers 2,4 and 6 are available for the students and staff members to travel to the university. The students who travel by car can park their vehicles in the public parking spaces in the city centre. 

• The Rector’s Office of the Palacky University is the economic and administrative centre like vice-rectors and bursar. 
• The Science and Technology Park (STP) develops an ideal environment for entrepreneurship in Olomouc. It includes rental space, office spaces, co-working, pilot plants, and virtual offices. 
• UP Press is responsible for publications in digital form and print media like textbooks, anthologies, study materials, and academic monographs. 
• UP runs the Confucious Institute. It is a cultural centre that fosters Chinese culture by organising lectures and training courses.
• The Academic Sports Centre provides a rich collection of sports and recreation activities like regular sporting activities, summer and winter sports courses, etc.
• The computer network and information administration systems of the university are catered by the Computer Centre. 
• Palacky University library comprises faculty libraries and the British Centre which specialises in textbooks, print media resources, books, and materials in English.

Palacky University campus has a modern university structure for its eight faculties. The university departments, institutes, and offices are located in numerous historical buildings in Olomouc. 

• Students can enjoy extracurricular activities like sports facilities like the gym, sports fields, docks, culture (Student theatres, Magazines, Film clubs), and social events like the Majáles festival, departmental parties, and dance balls. 
• The university has a Support centre for students who require assistance with physical disabilities. 
• The students can choose from hundreds of clubs and societies in the sectors of social service, IT sector, science, language, etc.

Palacky University international students can apply for accommodation facilities at the university. The facility is limited to full-time students with modern housing facilities on campus. However, the students must look for rental spaces themselves in case the university does not offer dormitories services. 

• The students can avail themselves of accommodation facilities in the university dormitories on a first come first serve basis. The housing offered by the university is limited.
• The university provides accommodation and dining services to the students. 
• The canteens and cafeterias provide a wide range of short-order meals in a wide variety of cuisines. 
• The housing facility is available all year round and provides all kinds of requirements.
