It is a member of the Russell Group, Association of Commonwealth Universities, and European University Association. LSE began conferring degrees in its own name in 2008, after previously conferring degrees on behalf of the University of London.

Transportation in the city

Transport facilities are easily accessible near the university. London's transport system is unlike any other city in the world, with its red buses, black cabs, and Tube trains instantly recognizable around the globe. On campus, bicycle racks are located at St Clement's Building, in Grange Court, adjacent to the main entrance on Houghton Street, and on Sheffield Street.

  • The campus consists of a continuous group of 30 buildings.
  • LSE campus has various well-known buildings such as Saw Swee haw student center, Centre building, marshall building, and Nuffield building. 
  • The Global Centre for Social Sciences lies within the University premises, which offers best practice services to students.
  • The library of the LSE is regarded as one of Europe's largest social science libraries.
  • The Royal Courts of Justice building is just next door to the campus, and the financial sector, Westminster, and the Houses of Parliament are all within easy walking distance.

  • Room types available are single, single studio, double, double studio, triple, etc.
