LSE current staff, or former staff have been awarded or jointly awarded 27 percent (or 13 out of 49) of all Nobel Memorial Prizes in Economics, making up 16 percent (13 out of 79) of all Nobel Memorial Prize laureates. It is regarded as a part of the "Golden Triangle" of top universities in South East England. A few more reasons to study here are:-
- A total of 74 types of LSE scholarships to all students. A scholarship of EUR 15,000 (INR 12,32,850) is granted to students.
- Three Nobel Peace Prizes and two Nobel Prizes in Literature have also been awarded to LSE graduates and staff.
In the 2015–16 Times Higher Education World University Ranking, LSE ranked with the second-highest percentage of international students (70%) among the 800 institutions.
