NEED HELP WITH F-1 visa slot as i have gotten a admit from UM but im waiting for MSU decision which lands late april

As msu decision is coming very late im getting concerned for my visa. So should i accept the offer from UM and use the i-20 form from there to book a visa slot and change later if i get a admit?
