Hi guys,
I am intending to go for MS in CS in fall '19.
I have a slightly unconventional profile:
- CGPA: 6.59/10
(B.Tech, Civil Engineering from IIT Guwahati)
- GRE: 314 (Q:166, V:148, AWA:3.5)
- 3 conference papers (each in regional, national and international conferences)
- Several personal projects
- 2 internships in Android development
- Currently working as R&D Software Engineer at Works Applications, Singapore
I understand that my CGPA is low and I'm not from CS, so that can be bad for my applications. I would like to know your suggestions on how should I go about with making my profile better by the time I apply. Currently, I am working on some Coursera courses that have projects as well and I am trying to make something from anything that I learn from a MOOC.
Because of my profile, I am not able to properly decide on what Universities should I aim for, so any recommendations for universities that focus less on GPA would be very helpful. I understand that since I haven't done any CS courses, some bridge courses will be needed.
